Backgrounds

I was just wondering, why doesn't this site have a section for backgrounds from games? I've ripped some backgrounds from a few games (certainly not enough to start a section up with) But I'm sure some other rippers must have some they've ripped before as well. Then people could come here to get sprites and backgrounds for their comics/games/whatever.
Is there a specific reason why you don't, or just not something that anyone has been interested in before?

Not sure if this is correct, but I believe the 'Maps' section takes care of this, sorta..

ya, maps and tiles section. Unfortunatly I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Didn't want to make a new topic for this, so I'm asking in here.

Why'd don't you have a PD sprites section? Is it a personal preferance no to, or do you not think you'll get enough submissions? I just have a few PD sheets, and I wanted to know if you wanted to host those kinds of sheets here.

I used to do PD but eventually stopped since most PD sprites either suck or are useless because they styleclash with everything else.

In short, PD sprites are useless for any serious project.
